Market Orders

Market Orders are executed “at the market” meaning the trade price reflected in your portfolio will be the current bid price of the stock assuming there is sufficient volume on the security being traded.  If there have been no trades on the security at the time the trade is placed, our system will continue to try to execute the transaction every 30 minutes until the end of the trading day.  If there is no volume by the end of the trading day the order will automatically expire.

Market order placed prior to the open of trading (9:30 a.m. EST) will be executed approximately 30 minutes after the market opens.

Market orders placed within 30 minutes of the closing bell (4:00 p.m. EST) will be executed on a 30-minute delayed basis and will be reflected in your portfolio within 45 minutes of the close of trading.

Market orders placed at night, on holidays, on weekends or at any other time when the market is closed will be executed approximately 30 minutes after the open of the next trading day.

Market orders cannot be cancelled in most cases.

We have dedicated substantial resources to ensure that all orders are executed as quickly and accurately as possible.  If, however, a technical issue occurs on our system, the stock exchanges, or the systems of our data provider(s), we will execute market orders as soon as possible after the problem is resolved.

Stop, GTC, and Limit Orders

Stop/GTC, and Limit orders will be executed on a 30 minute delayed basis once the user specified parameters have been met.  Day orders will be monitored until the end of the trading day when they will automatically expire if not executed.  GTC orders will remain open until executed or cancelled by the portfolio manager.  Cancellation can be handled from the manager’s Command Center.

We have dedicated substantial resources to ensure that all orders are executed as quickly and accurately as possible.  If, however, a technical issue occurs on our system, the stock exchanges, or the systems of our data provider(s), we will execute Stop, GTC, and Limit orders using the original order criteria as soon as possible after the problem is resolved.
